Chunky Dough Co was created in December 2023, originally known as The Cooky Co. At that time, I focused solely on sugar cookies — but in May, when our family found out we were relocating to Townsville, I decided it was time to grow. That’s when I expanded into all things cookies, rebranded as Chunky Dough Co, and launched our signature Chunky Cooky range!
I’m endlessly grateful for everyone who has supported me on this journey of turning my passion into a small business. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Chunky Dough Co — and I’m so glad you’re here to be part of it. 💕

Hi, I’m Atalaya, the owner and creator of Chunky Dough Co!
I’m a full-time Legal Secretary by day and a full-time Cookie Artist by night.
In 2023, I welcomed my first daughter — and with her arrival came the inspiration to finally follow my dream of starting a sweets business. I’d been baking cookies privately for a few years (mostly just to enjoy myself!), but everything truly began when I discovered a talented sugar cookie baker who reignited my passion for decorating and creating delicious treats.
When I returned to work in 2024, my amazing team became my biggest cheerleaders, encouraging me to turn my little side hustle into a real small business. With their support — and the endless help of my wonderful partner, who takes care of all the packing and cleaning — I’ve been able to pour my heart into baking and decorating every batch of Chunky Dough cookies.
Every cookie I make is baked with love, care, and a whole lot of sweetness.
